Food Guide
As far as sides go, coleslaw is one of the most popular in the Bahamas. Classically, we found coleslaw to be served inside a leaf, like the one below which is served in a delicious cabbage leaf.
Depending on where you go, coleslaw does vary from place to place. In general, the coleslaw that tends to visitors tends to be heavy on the mayonnaise, but we are told that a classic Bahamian coleslaw is much lighter, has only a small amount of mayo and can quite often have a little hit of chili pepper in there too - sounds good!
